Objectives

Through our Work Experience Placement initiative, the Liberties Training Centre aimed to: Boost Employment Prospects: Equip trainees with practical skills and real-world experience to enhance their career readiness. Empower Disadvantaged Youth: Build confidence and independence, helping trainees recognize and reach their potential. Support Mental Well-being: Foster personal growth and resilience by creating positive, supportive work experiences.

Background

The Liberties Training Centre in inner-city Dublin offers second chances to young people aged 16–21 who have left school early. Guided by our core values—growth, integrity, fun, and collaboration—we provide practical, skills-based courses. As part of the QQI Level 4 program, our Work Experience Placement initiative gives students hands-on exposure to professional workplaces, building their skills, confidence, and readiness for employment or further education.
