By implementing this project, we wanted to enable and empower young people to take responsibility for the environment around them, by taking part in structured activities that supported them to expand their personal knowledge around environmental awareness through structured workshops and community based activities. The objectives of the project were: - For young people to gain skills and knowledge that will benefit them for the rest of their lives - For young people to gain further knowledge around issues that effect the environment both on a local and global scale. - For all participants to meet new people, experience new cultures and expand their social networks. - For young people to feel enabled to pass their gained knowledge around environmental issues to their peers and the wider community. - For young people to use the YouthPass system in order to record the competences gained. All of the above were achieved by using non-formal education methodologies, with the voice of all participants being at the core of this project.
