Our project aimed to equip youth workers with innovative tools to implement the European Youth Strategy through the transformative medium of theatre. It was submitted as a long term project with 2 mobility (one in Türkiye and one in Ireland) but only part was approved. We had planned to foster an inclusive and dynamic approach to youth engagement, focusing on harnessing the power of theatrical techniques to address key aspects of the European Youth Strategy, such as active citizenship, social inclusion, and employability. We followed the objectives of the fields of action to contribute to the Strategy and discussed ways to put its theory into practice. We wanted to explore possibilities, improved tools, and developed new projects based on the Strategy’s proposals. We believed that without a holistic approach to the Strategy, we couldn't contribute effectively to achieving its goals. We brought together experienced youth workers, trainers, and project managers to share their perspectives, experiences, and practices regarding the Strategy. Using this shared knowledge, we created new tools and projects tailored to the needs of their target groups in line with the Strategy. Therefore, we aimed to: Bring together youth workers from different backgrounds to create space for dialogue and foster a sense of shared values. Raise participants' sense of belonging to Europe. Understand how role-playing and theatre could positively impact youth workers, young people, children, and society. Develop critical thinking about the challenges young people face. Foster intercultural dialogue, learning, and a sense of European identity. Enhance participants' skills in using theatre to empower and engage young people. Promote inclusivity by exploring theatre’s potential to bridge cultural gaps and celebrate diversity. Encourage active participation in societal issues through interactive theatrical methodologies. Strengthen the competence of youth workers in using creative approaches for the personal and professional development of young people. Learn more about the 'Engage-Connect-Empower' framework and share it with young people in their communities using non-formal methods, especially forum theatre. Exchange experiences and good practices on local and international youth activities aligned with the Strategy, and address its challenges. Encourage youth workers and leaders to engage in solidarity, promote support schemes, and seek synergies between EU funding instruments and local, regional, and national programs. Prepare recommendations for tools and projects to put the Strategy into practice. Design new projects under the Erasmus+ Program, such as long-term training courses and strategic partnerships, adopting a holistic approach. By the end of "T-Strategy," we wanted participants to be equipped with a diverse set of theatrical tools and empowered to integrate these methods into their youth work. We wanted to inspire a new wave of youth workers capable of driving positive change and promoting the values of the European Youth Strategy through the transformative power of theatre.
