Background and Objectives The aim of implementing our project was to support the principle of combating waste, which is among the core values of our community, with concrete steps, and to carry out an effective awareness campaign against food waste, a major global issue. In this direction, by especially targeting young people, we wanted to highlight the damage caused by food waste to nature, the economy, human health, and the social structure, and to promote a culture of sustainable living. Within the scope of our project, we carried out activities that question individuals' consumption habits, emphasize the concept of sustainable nutrition, raise awareness to reduce waste throughout the chain from production to consumption, and strengthen intercultural cooperation. As a result of the activities we carried out in line with this goal, we achieved concrete successes in raising awareness among young people—the primary target of our project—and in addressing the issue of food waste from various perspectives. One of the most valuable outcomes of our project was the increase in the environmental awareness level of young participants, especially those aged between 17 and 29. Through the workshops, group discussions, and interactive seminars we organized during the project, our participants gained the competence to evaluate all the processes food goes through from production to consumption, analyze points of waste, and develop solution proposals. In addition, through our project, we promoted the Erasmus+ program and inspired young people to actively participate in the process of generating solutions to environmental issues at the European level. Thanks to our dissemination efforts that supported the promotion of the names and capacities of the participating organizations, our project reached a broad audience. Moreover, the intercultural interactions included in our project allowed participants to move away from prejudices and develop the ability to produce solutions together. By addressing the environmental, economic, and social damages caused by food waste in detail, we emphasized that this issue is not only an individual but also a global problem. Throughout our activities, we developed solution-oriented content on topics such as alternative uses of food, evaluation of household waste, preservation of water resources, conscious irrigation techniques in agriculture, and food sharing networks. These contents both increased the participants' level of knowledge and transformed them into individuals who create change within their own communities. As a result, through our project, we created social awareness against food waste, strengthened young people's sustainable living skills, and increased the recognition of the Erasmus+ program, ensuring that wider audiences became aware of these opportunities. The most important outcome of our project is that our message—fighting waste should not be limited to individual effort but rather involve all segments of society—has found a broad impact. In this way, we did not merely carry out a project but built a sustainable awareness for the future.
