We aimed to enhance linguistic competences and job skills through work experience in Galway and strengthen also soft skills like autonomy, responsibility, inclusion, adaptability. Real work contexts allow them to strengthen resilience, teamwork and responsibility, complementing their academic preparation with personal growth, active European citizenship, while also improving the participants’ future employability by developing their problem-solving abilities.
IIS Laeng Meucci is strongly oriented toward educational innovation and internationalisation. It operates in an area characterised by a dynamic productive fabric and a growing demand for STEM, digital and language skills, as well as problem-solving competences. The Erasmus+ project involved students in order to enhance inclusiveness and strengthen digital and linguistic skills, tackling hidden early school leaving and supporting learners in acquiring these competences through internships abroad.
