Objectives

We have four main objectives: to help students cope with changes in the world of work (e.g. digitalisation, shortages of skilled workers) and to enhance the appeal and competitiveness of the craft sector. Furthermore, all training programmes must be systematically integrated into the school’s internationalisation process. Another objective is the long-term consolidation and expansion of our European network with partner institutions.

Background

The BBZ "Emma Hellenstainer" Centre is South Tyrol’s only training centre for the catering and food sectors, with around 800 students each year. The project aims to make traditional trades more attractive to young people in the face of global challenges such as digitalisation and sustainability. Through international mobility, it prepares students and staff for the changing world of work and life.
