Objectives

The project aims at increasing the employability of the students by strengthening their language, professional and soft skills. It offers students from a disadvantaged background the possibility to live in another European country and learn to interact constructively with other cultures. The job shadowing activity represents an opportunity for teachers to update their teaching methods, their language skills and their professional skills.

Background

The project addresses the educational needs of the IFP Pertini's students, focusing on their deficiencies in language, professional and soft skills as required by the job market. The low cultural background of 60% of the students appears to influence their closed attitudes towards otherness and European values. Teachers of vocational subjects complain about the lack of specific training courses to update their teaching methods and professional skills.
