The project was implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Accreditation in the field of Youth held by H.R.Y.O. Human Rights Youth Organization A.P.S., with the aim of strengthening the quality, continuity, and impact of international mobility activities for young people and youth workers. The starting context is characterized by an increasing need to provide young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, with non-formal learning spaces that support the development of transversal competences, promote active participation in democratic life, and strengthen their sense of European citizenship. At the same time, there is a need to support youth workers in improving their methodological and project management competences in order to ensure high-quality educational interventions with a stronger local and international impact. Within this framework, the project pursued the following main objectives: to promote active participation of young people, supporting their involvement in decision-making processes, democratic life, and local communities; to foster social inclusion and diversity, ensuring access to Erasmus+ opportunities also for young people with fewer opportunities, coming from disadvantaged or marginalized backgrounds; to develop key competences among participants, including communication skills, teamwork, critical thinking, adaptability, and intercultural awareness; to strengthen youth workers’ competences through training activities and exchange of good practices, improving the quality of non-formal education; to promote environmental sustainability and ecological awareness, integrating these themes into educational activities and methodologies; to consolidate and expand the organization’s international partnerships, fostering cooperation among European organizations active in the youth field. The project also contributed to the implementation of the organization’s long-term strategy, which aims to use international mobility as a tool for youth empowerment, the development of more inclusive communities, and the promotion of European values. Through the implementation of youth exchanges and training activities, the project created concrete opportunities for experiential learning, based on participatory and learner-centered methodologies, in line with Erasmus+ quality standards. In this way, it addressed identified needs at both local and European levels, contributing to the personal and professional development of participants and strengthening the role of the organization in the youth field.
