Objectives

The project aimed to strengthen the educational and social impact of Ture Nirvane in the youth sector through a series of international mobility activities, in line with the Erasmus+ KA150 accreditation strategy. Firstly, the organisation set itself the goal of sharing with other youth organisations the skills and tools developed at Torri Superiore in the fields of environmental sustainability and democratic participation, the result of decades of experience in the ecovillage movement. At the same time, the project aimed to improve the skills of youth workers at Ture Nirvane and other local organisations by offering them international training opportunities that would contribute to the internationalisation of their activities. Another key objective was to increase non-formal learning opportunities for young people in the cross-border area around Ventimiglia, helping to build a European identity among these young people. With this in mind, the project developed activities on the themes of sustainability and the fight against climate change, combined with other related areas (social inclusion, social justice, creativity and diversity) in which the cooperative excels. Finally, a broad objective was to develop a stronger international network – made up of ecovillages, youth organisations and sustainable initiatives – capable of promoting the continuous improvement of youth workers' skills at European level.
