"CARE – Caring our planet, caring ourselves"'s primary objective was to offer 24 young people from Italy, Spain, Romania, and Lithuania a journey of exploration and experiential learning on the connection between environmental protection and the promotion of equal opportunities between men and women, integrating non-formal education practices and ecofeminist principles into youth work. From a youth work perspective, the project aimed to promote a transformative educational process based on active participation, critical reflection, and the collective creation of knowledge, with the goal of developing aware, responsible young people capable of acting as multipliers of change in their communities. The project's main objectives were: -Promoting critical awareness among young people regarding the connection between the environmental crisis and gender inequalities, stimulating reflection on the sociocultural models that generate exploitation, discrimination, and violence. - Experiment with non-formal education practices focused on sustainability, equality, and mutual respect, strengthening participants' social, communication, and intercultural skills needed to operate as youth workers or activists. - Develop a concrete proposal for social and cultural change through group activities, discussions, and creative processes that led to the collective production of ideas and actions for a more just, equitable, and ecologically sustainable world. - Produce and share an international theatrical performance, conceived and performed by participants, as an educational and awareness-raising tool on the themes of ecofeminism, gender equality, and environmental protection. The performance, recorded and broadcast online, represented a replicable model of active and sustainable citizenship education. - Strengthen young people's intercultural and digital skills through international collaborative work and the use of digital tools for communication, dissemination of results, and the creation of European youth cooperation networks. -Develop a handbook of good practices, which gathers the fundamental principles for integrating environmental sustainability and gender equality into daily life and youth work. This tool, which has been disseminated internationally, has helped consolidate a shared educational approach among partner organizations. -Foster participants' personal growth by supporting them in developing key life skills such as autonomy, responsibility, collaborative leadership, and awareness of their active role in society.
