Since February 2022, war came in our lives again. As partnership, we thought it was important to create an opportunity for young people to reflect about the strategic importance of peace, human rights and democracy in a very difficult European geopolitical moment, using the world of non-formal education for themselves. Aim of our Youth Exchange was to give the opportunity for youth to learn and experience different methods of non-formal education in order to empower them to be aware and spread human rights, democracy and peacebuilding. The objectives of the youth exchange were: - to help young people from different background to develop soft skills and other skills that are basic and necessary for communication and understanding each other; - to promote solidarity, empathy and tolerance and to foster intercultural understanding between people of different origins; - to enhance the knowledge and the importance of peace, human rights and democracy; - to equip youngsters with knowledge and tools about creative thinking, public speaking and teamwork through non-formal methods of education; - to raise youngsters’ European awareness, promote European values and get youngsters more sensitive towards the geopolitical situation; - to create space for sharing knowledge and exchanging ideas with the atmosphere of common understanding between peers representing different cultures and backgrounds.
