“KEY” is an Erasmus plus youth exchange project that will take place in Sandrigo, Italy. The project starts from the idea that young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, have fewer chances to experience mobility opportunities and to discover their own resources and those around us. The main activities, are related to experimenting with potential personal resources and being more aware of the resources that the environment in which we live makes available to us. This project, in fact, aims to focus on the topic of all-around resources, allowing young people aged 14 to 18 to reflect more on their potential related to personal resources and the development of knowledge about environmental resources and labour market (green jobs). This exchange will also allow them to learn about another country and a new culture, with all related aspects such as communication, language and traditions. Participants will face a challenge outside their comfort zone to experience themselves and gain awareness of EU opportunities and the possibilities of living abroad. Consequently, this project aims to implement opportunities to support young people to improve their resources and skills. Knowledge and skills are not only to technical aspects, but also to practical ones, such as how to live, how to face challenges, how to organize new projects, being in a working team that cooperates to achieve common goals. Focusing more on disadvantaged and marginalized youths, Cooperativa Margherita and Proyecto Kieu have observed more uncertainty about their abilities, amplified by: the tail end of the economic crisis, ongoing societal transformations, lack of integration between formal and nonformal education, and by the fact that they live in cities on the margins, where Europe is perceived as distant. Within this framework, they ask: What are my skills? With what I can do, who will I become? What are my opportunities? What skills can I develop? Can I really do something meaningful here? For this reason, with this project, we want to help them answer these questions positively, supporting their empowerment and social inclusion, increasing their skills and abilities, and making them aware of their own potential. Therefore, our main objectives are : * Improve participants' skills, knowledge and abilities, particularly: language skills, self-esteem and self-confidence, sense of initiative, creativity, autonomy, emotion management, intercultural competencies, communication and interpersonal skills. * Increase knowledge of new and innovative skills such as green skills, useful for the new labour market. * Improve attention and awareness about natural resources and the environment. * Promote the social inclusion of disadvantaged/marginalized youth. * Increase participants' awareness, motivation and confidence in their future, while also fostering their future prospects and opportunities based on their potential. * Promote quality mobility opportunities for disadvantaged/marginalized youth. Our objectives are in line with those of Erasmus Plus KA1 in the youth sector. In addition, the project will promote youth and community participation by enhancing the international/European dimension of activities implemented for marginalized youth.
