Objectives

The "HoperIam" initiative aims to bring young people from different social, cultural and economic contexts closer to the world of crafts and small businesses and their possibilities for growth and employment. The initiative aims to promote and encourage gender equality and share ideas, practices and points of view between young people from different cultures. Promote local artisan heritage and economic opportunities by monitoring and integrating modern methods and techniques, such as digital and eco-friendly tools. Promote and increase sustainable tourism linked to local traditions and craftsmanship. Encourage the exchange of good practices useful for introducing young people to the world of crafts and small businesses. The aim of the project is concentrated around the objective of tackling the sharp decline in entrepreneurship, especially among young people in the area, as it can be considered in part one of the main factors in the gradual increase in youth unemployment and depopulation, and, to try to deal with the problem by promoting and raising awareness among young people to approach again the different opportunities that craftsmanship and small business can offer in terms of professional and personal growth and economic stability. The “HoperIam” project aims to inspire and focus youth-led efforts to improve their local communities and to promote an atmosphere where young people are empowered to positively contribute to the development of their communities.
