The project Express You(th): Inner Child and Arts was created with the aim of offering young people a safe and creative space where they could express themselves through art, responding to concrete needs related to emotional well-being, mental health, inclusion, and the opportunity to live intercultural experiences. We wanted to create an international context where young people could reconnect with their “inner child”, exploring creativity and genuineness as tools for personal and collective growth. The main objectives were: -to encourage reconnection with the inner child and stimulate free and authentic self-expression; -to develop artistic competences through daily practice in different disciplines (music, theatre, dance, drawing/painting, writing/poetry); -to promote emotional awareness and well-being, using art as a tool for exploring and managing emotions; -to foster intercultural cooperation and the creation of meaningful bonds among young people from different backgrounds; -to raise awareness on social and environmental issues, stimulating a sense of responsibility towards the community and the planet. In line with the priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme and the objectives of the EU Youth Goals and EU Youth Dialogue, the project promoted inclusion and diversity, environmental sustainability, the use of digital tools, and active youth participation. In short, the project aimed to strengthen the personal, social, and artistic competences of participants, promoting a culture of inclusion and active European citizenship.
