Our project aimed to promote the active citizenship of young people in democratic life, encouraging constructive dialogue with policy makers – based on the political framework in the youth sector set out by the 11 Youth Goals of the European Youth Strategy 2019–2027 – focusing the conversation on environmental issues. Through a participatory process aimed at improving young people’s personal and interpersonal key competences and creating a communication bridge between young participants and socio-political decision-makers for intercommunication and political mediation strategies, with the acquisition of new knowledge about Europe’s current challenges, through the social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities and the promotion of European values: we strengthened young people’s trust in local and European institutions; we supported the importance of young citizens’ participation within the community.
