The project YOUNITE aims at giving young people the competences, tools and spaces to identify issues that are relevant to them and use traditional and alternative forms of participation as a way to propose solutions to address these issues. Young people will have a chance to develop a stronger democratic culture, which will benefit from direct engagement with local and european policy makers; and the practical competences linked to social advocacy and social project development. YOUNITE will: 1. Raise awareness among participants about European values and on how they can contribute to the achievement of the EU Youth Goals 2. Provide young participants with tangible opportunities for involvement in democratic life, fostering both traditional and alternative forms of participation. 3. Provide local authorities with concrete proposals, coming from young people and tailored to their specific needs, to guide their policies in the region regarding the identified project-specific themes.
