We reproduce below the text included in the application form: "Through the implementation of this project we would like to give 5 young deaf and 5 young blind 18 year olds, the opportunity to travel in Europe as independently as possible through a trip organized by them and not through adherence to a predetermined program. During these trips Esplora will support the participants in organizing the trip, finding accessible and inclusive activities, and organizing recreational and fun moments, thanks to the involvement of partner associations that will acept to collaborate. We will try to stimulate in the participants an hight level of autonomy, self-confidence, critical thinking in tourism sustainability and clearly stimulate their learning of the history, culture of the peoples of the countries we are going to visit. We will give a chance for growth and resourcefulness to the participants through the dissemination phase of the results and through live and/or online meetings and also by involving them in new projects of the association. Through the involvement of them in the stages of making and promote the materials of dissemination of results we count to increase at least minimally their employability in the Labor trade. Through this project we count on increasing the national and international contacts of Esplora which will benefit from a number of direct contacts that we are sure will be useful for future partnerships and collaborations. To increase and enhance soft skills and competencies of travelers, expand Esplora's possibilities of reaching out to young people with sensory impairments to whom it can propose its youth inclusion initiatives. Some project goals are: To give deaf and blind youth the opportunity to travel; To stimulate the discovery and curiosity of young travelers; To help travelers in a process of autonomy; Support travelers in travel arrangements; Help travelers do cost-benefit analysis; Give participants the opportunity to have a playful, educational and discovery experience without the presence of family members; Giving travelers the opportunity to meet foreign peers through the involvement of international partners and their members; Promoting accessible tourism in Europe; Promote good practices of experiential and accessible tourism in Europe; Promote a different way of traveling that is more responsible and closer to the host culture; Raise awareness among participants about the environmental impacts of mass tourism; Enable to Esplora to test and structure new travel routes; Have a strong impact in the young people involved in terms of autonomy and self-confidence; Expand Esplora's network of national and international partners; Involve these new Esplora partners in future projects; Involve young travelers in a dissemination phase of the results aimed at broadening the horizons of peers and travel possibilities. At the methodological level, the identified practitioners to work during the in this project, will have an important role in helping the participants toward discovery of the host country, toward greater self-confidence and autonomy through several moments of reflection and evaluation of achievements. This will be done through individual and group reflections using the 8 key skills in the youthpass to aid reflection. Participants will receive the youthpass and will be asked to fill it out. The group will be involved in non-formal activities to break the ice between them and to get to know each other better, a careful preparatory phase of the participants for the trip will be structured, in the presence of the youth workers involved, both to ascertain the level of "travel skills" of the participants but above all to prepare them for the possible unforeseen travel contingencies. We will then organize simulations of risky situations or logistical difficulties that may occur during travel, in order to prepare them as best as possible, we refer to the loss of a means of transportation, the loss of the group, what to do in case of lost luggage, who to call in case of difficulties, where to find travel information, the sites of foreign train companies, so other case histories of possible moments of difficulty during a trip. The travel program will see several experiential tourism activities that we believe are extremely useful to discover the place that we are going to visit, as well as representing a methodology of work very close to Esplora. Experiential tourism ties in with the concept of "learning by doing" and the "post experience" reflections that this methodological approach provides. The acompagnon and sign lenguage interpreter identified will be youth workers close to Esplora, already involved in previous accessible trips and some experts in the methodological techniques of non-formal education."
