Objectives

The primary goal of this project was to create a mobility experience with both fun and learning elements, as the trip provided participants with an opportunity not only to discover new and interesting European cities but also to enhance their multicultural knowledge and experiences. Today's society is made up of diverse cultures, but this is often seen as a negative: we should instead embrace diversity as a natural fact and as a catalyst for opening our minds to different ways of life. Through visits to Central European cities, we discovered how the different countries we visited address diversity today and how they have addressed it in the past. Europe has always been a fertile ground for cultural interaction since ancient times, and so our itinerary took us on a journey that compared the past with the present. From this comparison, we discovered not only positive examples, but also negative approaches perpetuated in the past, to learn from the mistakes of others and to become aware of the harmful effects of non-inclusive behavior. Furthermore, this experience allowed participants to experience new contexts, step out of their comfort zones, and meet new people. The project offered this mobility opportunity to young people in our local area who, for various reasons (economic, cultural, or social), are unable to travel and leave the outskirts of the province. At a very particular age like 18, it's essential to take a "journey" that offers the opportunity to test oneself, challenge oneself, and grow before making important decisions like a new course of study, a job, etc. Through Discovery EU Inclusion, we also wanted to engage and motivate young people here who are increasingly shy away from local opportunities and create an opportunity that can be generative in the local area, perhaps even creating opportunities for new mobility through ESCs or exchanges.
