Objectives

The group of travelers made up of 4 girls (18 years old) present in the facilities of the Il Tetto Casal Fattoria cooperative and a group leader (19 years old) and two educators (35 years old) to support the two girls who need personalized support, they will leave Rome on August 1st for the journey of discovery of Europe by train. In the month of July they will participate in a twenty-hour, targeted and intensive English course, to strengthen their knowledge of the language and the participatory planning of all the stages of the journey will also begin in detail, identifying the places where to stay, the curiosities to to visit, the people to meet, building the travel blog and other social sharing platforms. The 6 planned stages reflect their personal interests and the presence of a network of known people who they will meet in the different cities they will visit. They will be the points of reference for the group and a tool for in-depth knowledge of places and cultures. Traveling by train, with backpacks on your shoulders, staying in hostels, walking to discover eating habits in popular markets, will guarantee a sober and sustainable style, respectful of contexts and the environment, in contrast with consumerist and superficial tourism. Planned stages and activities: 1 August Munich, two-day stay to visit the city, places of interest and meet with Joseph, a friend of a member of the cooperative that deals with the reception of immigrants. 4 August Amsterdam, two-day stay to visit the city, places of interest and meet with Edna, a friend of Nigerian origin who lived in Rome for many years and now lives in Holland and takes care of people. 7 August Paris, two-day stay to visit the city, places of interest and meet with Sofia, an Italian educator friend who works with children. 10 August Madrid, two-day stay to visit the city, places of interest and meet with Miguel, a former volunteer of Spanish origin, who has worked at the cooperative's facilities in past years. 13 August Marseille, two-day stay to visit the city, places of interest and meet with Mirian, a French friend of a member of the cooperative who deals with tourist itineraries. 16 August return to Rome. The group will document the experience with videos and images, of places and people to build an exhibition to be exhibited in a prestigious location in Rome, the Protomoteca room at the Campidoglio and in a virtual sharing space, the travel community blog . The aim of building a community made up of meetings and relationships will strengthen a broad and concrete sense of belonging of the participating girls and will allow the horizons of all the members to be broadened, offering a dynamic and real vision of the places visited, of new knowledge and of experienced emotions. The project will end in October, upon completion of the planned processing and presentations and, after completion of the actions required to obtain the Youth pass.
