Objectives

In our interactions with young individuals, we have observed that many face challenges in maintaining a nutritious diet, especially as they transition to independent living. Often, they lack fundamental cooking skills, possess limited knowledge of nutritional values, and may neglect dietary habits until faced with health or psychological issues. Acknowledging these needs, the project is designed to introduce a comprehensive approach that includes nutrients, cooking, food-related ecology, and the impact of diet on mental and physical well-being. The project aims to equip young people with green skills, cooking proficiency, mindfulness, and well-being techniques applicable in their daily lives. This multifaceted approach seeks to make positive changes at personal, local, national, and European levels. The objectives of this project are: 1. Instruct youngsters in the preparation of simple and time-efficient nutritious meals that can be easily prepared in a home kitchen; 2. Raise young people's awareness of the nutritional value of plant-based foods, enabling them to make healthy and sustainable food choices; 3. Improve the relationship with food by practicing mindful eating and developing a nutrition-oriented mindset; 4. Improve the mental and physical well-being of young adults by providing well-being and mindfulness techniques; 5. Provide young people with green skills to reduce food waste; 6. Improve mental well-being and learn about social and cultural aspects through sharing food with others.
