Objectives

The goal of the project is to develop the civic self-awareness of young people, nurture their patriotic feelings, and promote the growth of civic involvement. When communicating with partners, we observe that especially young people living in regions are less active in participating and initiating changes in communities. Young people do not have access to relevant information or do not know where to find it, geographical and social isolation prevents them from finding like-minded and inspiring examples. Therefore, with the project, we aim to provide young people with knowledge, practical skills, increase civic awareness, and develop citizenship. We aim to provide an understanding of their role in society, of opportunities to actively participate in their community. This can include anything from joining a local volunteer group to contacting a politician to voice their concerns about an issue they care about. It is important that young people learn to become responsible citizens and contribute positively to the welfare of society. Citizenship can manifest itself in many ways and forms, so a young person has the opportunity to choose the most acceptable way for him to take care of his country, city or environment. In the project, participants will get to know the basics of Human Rights, their rights and those of others, and learn how to protect them. Acquaintance with the culture, the search for commonalities and peculiarities of the countries will allow young people to understand the individuality of each country and the perception of their own identity, will teach them to protect and respect the historical memory, and the patriotic feelings of the country. We aim to provide young people with knowledge, skills, confidence, to teach them to argue their opinions, examine situations from different positions, prepare to work in a team and take responsibility.
