The main idea of this project is to strengthen the already existing relations with our twinned cities. An essential point will be to promote exchange and communication between young people from each country to foster dialogue and interaction between their peers. Indeed, the young people taken care of by the Youth Service of the municipality of Mondorf-les-Bains are mostly from socially and financially weak families. A large percentage are vulnerable and disoriented, dropping out of school and have difficulty finding their way around society. At the youth centre "Jugendstuff Munneref", they find advice, support and support to integrate (or reintegrate) into the world of education or work. There they (re)learn the rules of life and obtain non-formal socio-educational learning. They rarely have the opportunity to discover cities other than their hometown. This youth exchange project between the twinned cities therefore gives them the opportunity not only to get to know the country and the culture of Portugal better, but also to be able to travel to other cities and live similar experiences. The main theme of this meeting will be the differences between cultures and customs, but also the emergence and history of the Europe of which we are a partand even a big part of the futur. The tools used to do this will be sport and cultural activities, playful discovery, interactive games and non-formal education. The main objectives of this year's project in Vale de Cambra, Portugal: - To promote common values, support and develop values such as tolerance, freedom of expression and respect for others. - To raise awareness of the opportunity of the Erasmus Plus programme - To promote better understanding between different peoples and cultures and to motivate intercultural dialogue - To promote international and social relations with and between young people in each country (multilingualism, key competences for respectful dialogue) - To take young people out of their comfort zone and usual environment in order to foster open-mindedness - Motivate young people to activities, especially cultural and sporting activities - Encourage young people to become responsible and respectful citizens (active citizenship) - Maintain cooperation with other services working in the field of youth - Highlight the importance of respect for others and motivate young people to invest themselves in others - Opening up to solidarity - Promoting the creativity and imagination of young people As the young people involved in this project are partly disadvantaged and vulnerable, mutual exchanges are very important so that they can discover the differences between the privileges and difficulties of each country and thus regularly question themselves, develop critical questioning and better understand the resources, strengths and weaknesses of their daily lives. For these young people, it is a privilege and a chance to travel with friends to other countries in Europe, to discover the different cultures and customs, while making new acquaintances in a safe environment. After France, Luxembourg and Switzerland, various young people are meeting for the third or even fourth time, which of course means that the bond from recent years can be strengthened. This also helps the "new young participants" to find their way around the group more quickly.
