The project “Greening Conscious Living” (GCL) was created in response to a common need identified by 11 partner organisations from Programme and Partner countries: youth workers increasingly want to work on climate, sustainability and green transition, but they often lack concrete non-formal tools and examples they can use with young people. At the same time, many organisations are trying to make their own activities greener (less waste, less printing, responsible food, green travel) but do not always know how to integrate this into educational programmes. With this project we wanted to combine both dimensions: to strengthen the environmental competences of youth workers and, at the same time, to show that a mobility itself can be implemented in an eco-friendly and inclusive way. The main objectives were: (1) to provide practical methods for introducing ecological living into youth work and community actions; (2) to raise awareness on the benefits of sustainable lifestyles, linking personal choices to European priorities such as the European Green Deal and the Youth Goals; (3) to empower youth workers to act as multipliers and advocates for sustainability in their local contexts; (4) to create and share educational materials that can be reused by the partner organisations; and (5) to strengthen long-term cooperation between organisations from Luxembourg, EU Member States, Eastern Partnership and MEDA countries around the topic of green youth work. Even if the second mobility (Egypt) was not funded, the partners kept the original spirit of North–South cooperation and integrated part of that content into the Luxembourg activity.
