The aim of the project was to modernise the content of music theory and solfeggio teaching, to align academic requirements between different levels and countries of music education, to strengthen cooperation with the labour market, to develop an inclusive and sustainable learning environment, and to provide students with international orchestral and choral practice experience.
Ventspils Music Secondary School is a state-founded professional music education institution with the status of an Arts Education Competence Centre. The school educates around 500 learners, including young people with fewer opportunities. Through this project, it strengthens the content of music theory and solfeggio teaching, develops teachers’ competences, promotes an inclusive approach and international mobility, responding to the needs of contemporary music education and the labour market.
