Objectives

Our project was carried out under the Erasmus+ Youth KA150 Accreditation and brought together three complementary learning mobility activities: the youth exchange DigitArt, the partnership-building activity Link to the Hope, and the training course Solidarity Circus 2025. Coordinated by Kultūras biedrība “Alternatīvā Realitāte”, it involved trusted partner organisations from across Europe and neighbouring regions, with a special focus this year on including new partners from Palestine. The main objective was to create meaningful and inclusive learning opportunities that empower young people and youth workers. In line with our accreditation plan, we focused on three pressing themes: the inclusion of marginalized youth (refugees, rural and disadvantaged young people), the promotion of physical and mental well-being, and the development of digital competences. Each activity had a distinct focus. DigitArt encouraged young people to use digital creativity as a way to speak up about issues that matter to them, such as diversity, sustainability, and democratic participation. The work resulted in a virtual gallery that not only gave visibility to their voices but also sustained the outcomes of our earlier Erasmus+ initiative Tolerart.com, launched in 2019. Link to the Hope created space for organisations working with displaced or conflict-affected youth to connect, share experiences, and co-create new Erasmus+ projects. The activity successfully expanded our network and laid the foundations for long-term partnerships that will continue to promote inclusion and democratic engagement. Solidarity Circus 2025 was a training course for youth workers, offering creative tools such as circus pedagogy, clowning, and body movement as methods to foster self-expression and social inclusion. This built on our earlier Erasmus+ work in the field of circus pedagogy and gave participants new ways to support the well-being of young people through accessible and engaging non-formal education. Across all three activities, we promoted eco-friendly practices, active lifestyles, and a supportive environment for learning. Our overall goal was to strengthen both individuals and organisations so that they can contribute more actively to an inclusive, democratic, and digitally skilled youth sector in Europe and beyond.
