Physical health and emotional health are two connected systems that are intimately intertwined -- known as the mind-body connection. This is baseline from where we start - in any situation and circumstance we are with our body and mind. Often youth workers, trainers, educators fall into the trap of losing themselves, panicking or freezing (going into "survival mode") while facilitating. Our partners and us through our different work experiences have discovered that cross-linked transferable skills can be trained by using the body. As youth workers, trainers and educators we found that participation, entrepreneurship, creativity and every key competence initiated in our mind can be manifested through our non-verbal, body language. In this project we want to support the importance for youth workers learning competences through body-mind methods and create powerful metaphors to empower and reveal resources many times forgotten. As social beings we are in huge need for socialisation that happens in physical world, still existing world has reduced social interaction to story posting and replying in emojis, removing important part of way people are - physical contact and connection. These limitations and psychological issues have brought the reduction in the ability to express themselves, connect in meaningful and healthy way. During the project development, following needs where found that affect our entire network: + Safe space and context for learning, expression, connection and cooperation + Methodology of using body movement and body awareness in youth work or community work The aim and impact of the project is to contribute to improving youth work by bringing authenticity, confidence, expression to youth workers through body awareness. The objectives of this project are: + Improve professional skills and competences of youth workers who work with young people with fewer opportunities in the topic of body movement as a tool of self-expression, creativity and entrepreneurship + Foster social inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities through non-formal education and body awareness + Raise the quality and innovation of non-formal learning programs offered focused on existing needs of youth + Promote awareness of European principles and values. The common baseline for involved partners are: + An exchange of best practices for acting upon opportunities available and turning ideas into exact actions that can bring value to others is needed (especially in context of entrepreneurship) + Learn and use methods for young people with fewer opportunities and with disabilities, specifically connected to self-expression, creativity and entrepreneurship + Obstacles and lack of skills in assertive communication and sense of leadership + Create methods that use body language for effective communication with their target groups + Raise appeal and international dimension of organisations active in cultural and youth fields + Develop the level of life-long learning and promoting non-formal and in-formal learning and cooperation + Work on personal development, participation in civic life and employability + Improve the quality of youth work being done through offering high-quality and innovative trainings and workshops + Get peer feedback by a team of experienced professional international trainers + Connections and transitions between formal, non-formal, in-formal education, employment and entrepreneurship. The aim of our project partnership and our expanded network is to increase youth capacity to get and create better jobs for themselves and raise civic awareness amongst youth to encourage active citizenship. To do so, we need to improve the quality of our own youth work by participating and implementing international projects: this is helpful for us to understand new tools of work, bring more experience in our work, expand the use of non-formal education in our existing communities and new ones that we continuously develop and work with.
