Objectives

In this project, we concentrated on two primary needs that we have identified, which motivate both us and our partners to enhance our circumstances: 1. Innovation and Modernization in Youth Work Most of the partners involved in the youth sector recognize this need. As part of this initiative, we are committed to an ongoing process of organizational development. This helps us stay organized, be practical and pragmatic, maintain clear and transparent procedures, and find new ways to fulfil our mission. We’ve all come to understand how crucial it is to keep investing in our growth, so we’re better equipped to handle the challenges that come our way. 2. Digital Readiness for Young People and Youth Professionals The past five years have really shown how unprepared our society was to move youth work online, mainly because we lacked the right tools, methods, and platforms. On the other hand, digital skills are now essential for young people, both in their day-to-day lives and future job prospects. Improving digital readiness can help youth work from home, giving them a competitive edge in the job market and improving their chances of being employed. For partner organizations, having staff with strong digital skills is key to offering blended learning opportunities for young people. There's a constant need to implement new tools and even technologies in the youth work, so we make the learning process for the young people more engaging, interesting and immersive. In collaboration with our partners, we established the following overarching objectives for the project: - Modernizing non-formal education methodologies and tools by introducing Extended Reality (XR) as a new technology in everyday youth work. - Enhancing digital skills among youth workers, educators, and young people. - Educating young individuals about their rights and responsibilities as active European citizens through modern media, encouraging their participation in daily life through concrete suggestions and practices. We executed 2 mobilities in the scope of this project, namely 1 Professional Development Activity and 1 Youth Exchange. The objectives of the Professional Development Activity "XR_CONNECT" were: - Developing creative solutions for working with youth - Exploring the possibilities of extended reality(XR), which includes virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) - Equipping youth workers with XR tools and skills, so they can apply them in their everyday work with non-formal education methods - Developing digital skills for raising creativity and productivity The objectives for the youth exchange "DIGI_101" were: - using AI tools and apps - raising awareness among young people about their online presence and protection - exploring the possibilities that the new digital technologies, like XR (AR+VR), offer to young people - developing digital skills for raising the creativity and productivity of young people.
