Objectives

ARTisIN is a project for youngsters with fewer opportunities that aimed to encourage and enhance their social inclusion and active participation, as well as, provide tools and methods for nurturing mental health, by using the expressive arts as the main learning tool. The project idea started from the pre-identified needs of young people with fewer opportunities, emphasizing the connection, peer-learning environment and creative tools and methods for fostering social inclusion and overall mental-health. With “ArtIsIn” we created a learning context where young people from different backgrounds and cultures came together to co-create, learn from one-another and share best practices, using the expressive arts as the main tool. In an era where digital technologies and the internet are at a mass adoptation scale, further integrating in the daily lives of the youth population, creating learning mobilities thorugh non-formal and informal approaches is cultivating a sense of presence and peer connection, while fostering learning and growth. During the exchange, we created a safe and inclusive environment where participants could express themselves, explore various ways of communication and self-expression, cultivate creativity and a sense of initative, fostering teamwork and collaboration, all while co-creating their learning experience.
