The project aimed to strengthen the employability of young people by equipping them with relevant, in-demand skills for today’s labour market. We sought to develop participants’ practical job application competences, including CV and motivation letter writing, job search strategies, interview preparation, and document collection. A key objective was to enhance digital literacy by training youth to use online platforms and digital tools for job searching and application processes. We also aimed to cultivate professional communication skills, workplace etiquette, and awareness of green and digital career opportunities. The project intended to boost participants’ self-confidence, foreign language competences, and ability to work in multicultural environments. Promoting European values, inclusion, and equal opportunities - especially for young people with fewer opportunities - was central to our objectives. Additionally, we aimed to encourage knowledge-sharing among participants and raise awareness about Erasmus+ opportunities, while strengthening cooperation and project management capacities of partner organisations.
The motivation to apply for this KA210 project emerged from direct practical experience, statistical evidence, and a needs analysis conducted by partner organisations. We identified a clear gap: young people in our partner countries lack basic employability skills, particularly the ability to prepare effective CVs, write structured motivational letters, and confidently present themselves in the labour market. The idea originated from a real case of a young applicant who struggled to prepare competitive application documents for an Erasmus+ internship. This revealed a broader structural issue – many young people lack systematic guidance and practical training in career preparation. Youth unemployment rates remain high across partner countries, confirming the urgency of the problem. A 2023 survey conducted by the Serbian partner among youth aged 15-18 further showed that many feel unprepared to apply for jobs and explicitly requested support. We applied to provide structured, practical training to strengthen young people’s skills, confidence, and access to employment opportunities, while contributing to long-term social inclusion and resilience.
