Objectives

We wanted to equip our staff with skills in participatory and lifelong learning to design coherent programmes rather than piecemeal activities. We sought to integrate narrative and framing to shift perceptions of peatlands, strengthen intersectional dialogue and alliance-building, also across different generations. We aimed to support learners’ civic engagement, enhance digital competences, and build organisational resilience to prevent burn-out.

Background

RE-PEAT is an organisation educating for environmental awareness and active citizenship focusing on the importance of peatland restoration and its role in social & ecological justice. We offer a range of learning opportunities such as talks, guided walks, nature immersion, workshops, gatherings and festivals. After rapid team growth in the last years, we applied to strengthen our capacities in participatory learning, narrative and framing, intersectionality, resilience and digital skills.
