Objectives

The project aimed to address key themes of cultural understanding, environmental sustainability, and healthy living through a unique approach centered around food. One of the primary goals was to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people by exploring traditional recipes, adapting them for modern use, and emphasizing the benefits of balanced nutrition. The project also sought to develop a sense of responsibility for sustainable living by encouraging participants to critically reflect on their lifestyle choices, particularly concerning food production, consumption, and waste management. Through these activities, participants were introduced to the importance of reducing waste and understanding the rules of waste division in their respective areas. A significant focus of the project was raising awareness and understanding of different cultures, especially in the context of environmental issues. By exploring culinary traditions and sharing traditional recipes, participants gained insights into the cultural and symbolic significance of food while learning how eating habits are shaped by geography and societal changes. This exchange highlighted the importance of valuing local products, both for preserving cultural heritage and supporting sustainability. Moreover, the project aimed to foster critical thinking about how lifestyle choices impact both personal health and the environment. It encouraged participants to recognize the interconnectedness of culture, food, and ecological responsibility. In doing so, the project also promoted active citizenship and participation, motivating young people to engage with their communities and advocate for sustainable practices. By connecting food culture with sustainability and intercultural dialogue, the project created a meaningful platform for participants to learn, share, and grow together.
