Objectives

“Show Off” is a project for young people with fewer opportunities, aiming to improve their employability skills and overall well-being through performing arts tools (e.g., theatre, public speaking, comedy, dance, etc.). In today’s rapidly evolving labor market, young people coming from vulnerable backgrounds who have fewer opportunities in life are at a higher risk of being marginalised. The dynamic nature of the labour market and the development of technology and modern industries require communication skills, adaptability, critical and creative thinking, teamwork, a sense of initiative, problem solving. Throughout the project, we addressed the key needs that we collected from young people before applying, as well as needs collected during the Preparatory visit and the Main activity. By creating their activities and participating in each other’s workshops, we provided a playground in which they could practice communication, teamwork, problem-solving, planning, organizing, and public speaking. They could learn, explore, co-create, and exchange best practices and tools with their peers in a safe and dynamic setting. This way, we supported them to build confidence, express themselves effectively, and develop the soft skills needed to thrive in a competitive job market and navigate their personal and professional lives with resilience and self-assurance. Objectives of Show Off project: - To bring together 10 group leaders and 10 participants for a PV aimed at preparing all aspects of the youth exchange - To organize an exchange program involving 40 young individuals with fewer opportunities, aged 18-30, and 10 group leaders, with the primary goal of exchanging best practices - To improve the employability skills of the young participants through performing tools with a specific focus on teamwork, self-expression, communication, planning, and organizing - To foster a greater sense of initiative among the participants by playing an active role during the PV, Youth Exchange, and further in their communities - To boost self-esteem and self-confidence among the youth that supports their employability opportunities - To enhance the overall well-being of the participants by being part of an international environment, where they will develop activities based on performing tools in a supportive and emotionally safe environment, and will be able to communicate better and negotiate their needs - To support 40 young individuals in better navigating the requirements of the labor market and becoming self-sustained - To support young people in finding their voice and their style when it comes to self-expression, while also raising awareness in the local community of E+ - To offer the young participants the opportunity to create and share several products to disseminate the project's results and achievements. This includes Community action, “Success sharing” videos, social media updates, and 10 events in their local communities – 1/national group - To establish connections with their local communities by sharing the project's outcomes, their experiences, and the knowledge gained with locals
