First of all, we want to mention that the project partners are writing this report together. Each of us answered questions about the project and shared our experiences. We do this because we want the report to show the actual events and what we learned. We were working together and using team leaders' feedback, and we can provide an overview of the project’s activities, results, and impact. Our project focused on protecting the environment, building green skills, and using creativity and art to inspire change. We brought young people together to learn about climate change and sustainable living, develop practical skills for greener communities, and express their ideas through creative activities like photography and cultural events. We see that protecting the environment is one of the most important challenges of our time, as climate change, deforestation, pollution and the loss of biodiversity increasingly threaten the well-being of all living beings. For us, as a partnership, the topic of environmental sustainability was relevant and very urgent. Each partner recognized the importance of acting now and engaging young people as agents of change. "Youth Without Barriers" wanted to empower Dutch youth to become more conscious of their daily ecological impact and more active in community initiatives. "Youth Center of Georgia", as the host, saw the project as a way to raise awareness in a country with rich biodiversity but also growing environmental challenges. Bioville (LV), already active in eco-education, wanted to inspire youth to adopt sustainable lifestyles and transfer this knowledge locally. "Changemakers DSU" viewed the project as a chance to strengthen civic engagement and promote environmental activism among Hungarian youth. "INTEGRA" focused on motivating young people facing fewer opportunities to see themselves as leaders of positive change in their communities. Finally, "Creative Youth" valued the chance to introduce innovative methods such as art and photography to engage youth in Armenia on environmental issues. Together, we believed that by combining our different realities and experiences, we could create a stronger message and inspire concrete action. With our project "GreenGeneration", we wanted to achieve two main things: first, to raise environmental awareness among young people and motivate them to adopt sustainable habits in their everyday lives; and second, to equip them with tools and skills to act as active citizens in their communities. We believed that the project was very important to implement because young people often feel disconnected from large global challenges like climate change, yet they are the generation most affected by it. We used creative non-formal learning methods such as the Photovoice exhibition, simulation games and team projects. We wanted to make sustainability a tangible and personal topic. This project was also important for building long-term cooperation between our organizations, creating a network of young environmental advocates across six countries and increasing the capacity of all partners to organize impactful international projects in the future. The main goal of this project was to foster sustainability awareness among youth, equip them with the necessary competences and motivate them to actively contribute to the development of their communities through sustainable practices. Our objectives were: Knowledge exchange: Created a platform for participants to openly share their ideas and experiences, fostering a dynamic learning environment. Promote understanding: Developed a shared understanding of sustainable development and community building, emphasizing the interconnections between these concepts. Ecological awareness: Cultivated a deeper appreciation for the ecological situations and cultural contexts in each participant's country, promoting ecological awareness. Raise environmental awareness: Raised awareness about pressing environmental issues and advocated for sustainability and active citizenship within the participants' communities. Promote values: Promoted values such as diversity, respect, solidarity and equality as essential components of responsible and sustainable community development. Encourage creativity and personal growth: Stimulated creativity among participants, challenged their existing behaviors and equipped them with new tools and skills for youth participation, personal expression and personal development. Campaign against climate change: Took proactive steps by leading a campaign against climate change and environmental degradation, mobilizing participants and their communities to take action. Promote Erasmus+ opportunities: Encouraged youth to explore and engage with Erasmus+ as a means of their personal and community development.
