With the We Grow Together Summer Camp 2024 project, we wanted to ensure that young people with visions and ideas for an inclusive and climate-resilient world meet each other during the WGT Summer Camp. To discover how they can work together and join forces from their different countries, cultures and living conditions to implement the change they see in their local and global society. On the one hand, by sharing their visions, ideas and examples of action with each other and inspiring each other to take action themselves and together. On the other hand, by engaging with decision-makers and other key partners* to share their visions, ideas and examples for change and to explore whether meaningful collaboration was possible and where possible to contribute to decision-makers recognizing the value of young people's visions, ideas and examples and to effectively integrate them in their decision-making and development of future-oriented policies after the dialogue. Our objectives were: 1. To empower young people to clearly express their visions, ideas and examples of change, to share them via (social) media and to use them in dialogue with decision-makers to collaborate on sustainable development and policy development. 2. To bring together a very diverse international group of young people to form shared visions on the importance of an inclusive and climate-proof world and future, and to select their top10 of urgent themes that should be on the global agenda, which they would visualize in short videos after training to share online with others. 3. To facilitate the international group to share their visions and ideas on their top 10 themes during the We Grow Together Dialogue event with decision-makers, key partners and other young people, to discuss them and to explore collaboration, with which the changes they find urgent are actually implemented in society, decision-making and policy development. 4. To develop a concept and manual for the WGT Summer Camp, which we can apply locally and internationally and improve in the process.
