The Industrial Symbiosis(IS) is one of the key tools identified by the EC to facilitate the transition to a sustainable economic system based on digital circular economy. However, its consolidation in the EU is limited by a range of barriers, such as environmental regulation, low cooperation between industries, economic issues, lack of information sharing.FReINDs addresses this, offering an innovative framework supporting SME in their transition towards a new industrial digital ecology paradigm.
