Objectives

The aim of the youth mobility was to support the development of participants’ competences, broaden their horizons, increase openness to diversity, and strengthen their self-esteem and sense of agency. An important objective was also to enable younger participants to take part, for whom this was the first contact with the Erasmus+ programme and an opportunity to gain experience in an international youth exchange. The project emphasized learning together – through experience, play, dialogue, and cooperation – rather than traditional teaching. The young people developed their social competences, learned to cooperate in an international environment, built relationships, and strengthened their sense of agency. An important element was also reflection on what and how they learn, which supports the process of building self-awareness and planning for the future – both personal and connected with active participation in social life and European projects. The activities were also inclusive and supportive – each participant could contribute something of their own while feeling safe in a diverse group. As part of mobility A1, young people from six countries – North Macedonia, Sweden, Ukraine, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Poland – prepared and facilitated their own thematic workshops on games as an educational, integrative, and cultural tool. The programme included: workshops led by national groups, designing a mobile game, an international volleyball tournament, an urban game in Gdańsk (Urban Photo Adventure), and intercultural evenings. Cultural and language animations as well as elements of intercultural education were introduced, which supported integration and mutual understanding between participants from different countries. The main objective of this activity was cultural exchange and the development of new competences. The results of the activity included the development of digital, language, and social competences, greater intercultural openness and self-confidence, improved cooperation, communication and independence, first experiences in facilitating workshops and working in an international team, and – for younger participants – their first valuable experience within the Erasmus+ programme.
