The objectives of this project derive directly from the objectives of the approved Erasmus Plan of our accreditation, in particular the objective of developing participants' key competences through the Youthpass tool, the objective of counteracting stereotypes and exclusionary attitudes through international cooperation, and the objective of strengthening a culture of non-formal education within the Foundation. The aim of the project was to create a safe space for young people from Poland and Lithuania to cooperate internationally, get to know one another and develop competences needed for active participation in social and civic life. Through the youth exchanges, we wanted to strengthen participants' sense of agency, self-confidence, independence, openness to other cultures and readiness to undertake joint initiatives. An important objective was to develop social, communication, intercultural and civic competences. The activities were intended to help young people overcome language and cultural barriers, recognise the value of diversity, challenge stereotypes and develop attitudes based on respect, tolerance and cooperation. The project also supported social inclusion, empathy and the ability to understand the needs and perspectives of others. We also wanted to familiarise participants with the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme and encourage them to become more involved in youth initiatives, volunteering and activities for local communities. An important objective was to develop skills related to planning, teamwork, decision-making, creating their own project ideas and using digital tools responsibly. The project also contributed to strengthening the Foundation's capacity to organise international activities. The involvement of young people and volunteers in the preparation, implementation and evaluation of the exchanges supported the development of a new group of active people who will be able to co-create future initiatives of the Foundation. Another important result was the development of cooperation with international partners and the exchange of experience in the field of non-formal education.
