The main goal of the project was to create a space for international exchange of experiences among young people in response to global contemporary challenges. The youth exchange aimed to provide participants with the opportunity to explore different cultural and personal perspectives in the context of conscious digital citizenship and environmental responsibility. Another objective was to enable young people from different countries to jointly develop solutions through intercultural dialogue, helping them better understand the complexity of today’s problems. The exchange also sought to strengthen participants’ intercultural competencies and their ability to think critically about their role in both European and global society. The project was designed around three pillars forming a coherent and complementary whole, guiding participants from self-awareness, through social relationships, to a sense of connection with nature and responsibility for the ecosystem. Throughout the project, there was a strong emphasis on developing mindfulness and building deeper interpersonal connections. These relationships were built exceptionally effectively. The project actively combined musical and sports activities, which additionally contributed to creating strong bonds within the group and fostering real changes in the participants’ awareness. The project’s goal was to enable young people to consciously understand the impact of technology and artificial intelligence on daily life, human relationships, and personal development. Through workshops and discussions, participants learned how to critically analyze information, use new technologies ethically and responsibly, and recognize their potential for positive change. The ultimate aim was to prepare them to become active and aware digital citizens rather than passive consumers. In contrast to the often superficial relationships in the digital world, we wanted to create conditions that would allow participants to develop deeper self-awareness and the ability to form authentic human connections. The goal was to strengthen their emotional and social competences so they could build healthier and more meaningful relationships with others. These activities aimed to reduce feelings of isolation, promote empathy and openness—key factors in building cohesive and inclusive communities. Through the development of mindfulness and present-focused attention, the project sought to offer an alternative to the often chaotic and fragmented lifestyle of today’s digitalized world. Another key objective was to awaken in participants a sense of responsibility for the natural world. Through outdoor workshops and nature-based activities—including sessions where participants learned to identify, collect, and use wild edible plants—it was possible to reconnect with nature (for some, for the first time), understand its value, and appreciate the importance of pro-ecological actions. These activities not only expanded knowledge about climate change and sustainable development but also inspired participants to step out of their comfort zones and take real action to protect the environment. All these goals were closely interconnected, forming a coherent educational ecosystem. Achieving them was intended to spark a lasting change in the way young people perceive reality and, in the long term, foster their personal growth and increase their active engagement in creating a better, more sustainable, and more conscious future. Evaluation results indicated that this goal was successfully achieved.
