In the second year of implementing the Erasmus+ accreditation in the Youth sector, the Youth Educational Centre in Trzebież continued its efforts focused on continuous development, improving the quality of educational and upbringing work, and consolidating the experiences gained during the first year of the programme. Despite having a smaller financial allocation, our priority remained the same: to further strengthen young people’s engagement in non-formal and international education, while systematically integrating these elements into the daily functioning of the Centre. The first year of accreditation allowed us to build a strong foundation, which in the second year enabled us to develop our projects in a more conscious, structured, and sustainable way. Erasmus+ activities have become a constant and recognizable part of the Centre’s life. The young people – our residents – have been involved from the very beginning in planning, preparing, and implementing the youth exchanges. As a result, these projects have ceased to be just new experiences and have instead become an integral part of the educational and socialization process. As in the first year, we pursued the objectives outlined in the EU Youth Strategy, but during the second year, we placed greater emphasis on deepening the impact and strengthening good practices: 1. ENGAGING – We continued to develop the individual talents and interests of our residents, building on the experience gained in the previous year. The young people were not only participants in activities but increasingly co-created programmes and initiated their own ideas. 2. CONNECTING – International youth exchanges have become a natural and regular part of the Centre’s work. The participants maintained relationships with peers from other countries, developing cooperation skills and intercultural openness. 3. EMPOWERING – We continued to use digital and technological tools in our work with young people. We developed their media and communication competences through activities related to the creation of audio and video materials, as well as the promotion of project results. Within the awarded grant, we focused primarily on: - consolidating and further developing the educational offer for our residents, including increasing their independence and responsibility in implementing international activities, - deepening cooperation and the exchange of experiences among the educational staff, especially in developing competences in non-formal education and project-based methods – although we did not organize any seminar or training course, our staff had the opportunity to engage in the creative process before the exchanges and to accompany young people during the activities abroad, which allowed them to further develop their professional knowledge, - further integrating formal and non-formal education by introducing elements of Erasmus+ projects into daily educational activities, - promoting and disseminating the results of our work among other educational and social rehabilitation institutions, particularly in the context of sustainability and the quality of work with young people with fewer opportunities.
