Objectives

The implementation of activities planned under the ERASMUS+ Accreditation primarily aimed to realise the development strategy of the FILMFORUM Association in the field of youth work. The ERASMUS+ Accreditation was designed to support the international development of FILMFORUM’s activities across three programme pillars, each dedicated to audiences with different interests: The development plan for the “FILMFORUM EVENTS” pillar is based on the need to continuously build new programme partnerships, which make it possible to constantly enhance the quality of cultural events organised by the Association. The “FILMFORUM EDU” programme pillar is based on youth exchanges that use work with film as a tool of non-formal education. These exchanges aim to develop not only cultural competences but also attitudes in line with European values. The “FILMFORUM INDUSTRY” pillar focuses on educating young people interested in working within the audiovisual sector. Its goal is to enable young creators, producers, and screenwriters – often graduates of art schools – to establish international contacts with peers sharing similar aspirations, thereby contributing to their professional growth. This is particularly important for strengthening the international prospects of emerging filmmakers: it allows them to gain knowledge, experience and networks that facilitate international collaboration, open access to foreign funding, and help them enter the international market. The key objectives set out in the ERASMUS+ Accreditation application have been achieved. Additionally, during the implementation phase of the Accreditation in 2024–2025, the following short-term goals were defined, responding to the current needs of organisational partners and the young people under their guidance: - to establish new partnerships with organisations from European countries with which FILMFORUM had not previously cooperated (Georgia, Lithuania); - to update the objectives of the ERASMUS+ Accreditation for the coming years, based on the changing needs of young people; - to explore new methods of youth work with a stronger focus on media education; - to develop new project concepts with partners within "The FILMFORUM Group" consortium, aimed at creating a coherent and long-term educational offer for individuals who have aged out of youth exchange programmes. As a result, a continuous pathway for competence development will be established – from youth projects to initiatives for young adults and professionals – reflecting European priorities in supporting non-formal education and the concept of lifelong learning; - to prepare, together with young leaders, a dedicated Youthpass Guide, including a tutorial for independent editing of acquired competences and a scenario for online activation activities focused on planning and verifying learning outcomes; - to make arrangements for the development of initiatives implemented beyond Poland – in particular, the next phase of the Accreditation in 2026, during which a youth exchange in France is planned. Preparations for this activity began in 2024.
