Environment and climate change

Objectives

"Save the Forest" was a common initiative of young people from Poland, Slovakia and Lithuania. Every young person must be aware of what is happening to our Planet, what threats we may face resulting from human activity, and how we can influence the condition of the environment and climate so that our "home" remains in good condition for as long as possible. One of the many threats to our Planet is uncontrolled and illegal deforestation, which must be counteracted. The aim of the project was to develop competences (knowledge, skills, attitudes) related to the thematic area of the natural environment and climate change (mainly through the prism of the problem of excessive deforestation of the Planet and prevention of this phenomenon). We achieved the goal through the following specific goals: - expanding knowledge and raising awareness of the problems related to excessive and illegal deforestation and trees, which situations threaten not only our Planet and the environment, but consequently - us people; - expanding knowledge and raising awareness of the threats and negative effects of deforestation and trees; - developing ecological skills, thanks to which we have become more aware of how we can take care of the environment, our Planet and act to limit the cutting down of forests and trees and encourage others to do the same; - developing attitudes such as responsibility for one's own actions, motivation to spread and promote ecological attitudes and behaviors among our peers or local communities, but also knowledge that will allow us to look at the problems related to the cutting down of forests and trees in the long term;
