Objectives

By implementing the project “Integration From Art to Technology,” we aimed to respond to the specific needs of young people with intellectual disabilities by combining two areas that are particularly close to them – art and modern technologies. The impulse to create the project came directly from the young participants themselves, who, during previous activities, expressed a desire to further develop their artistic and digital competences. Our main objective was to strengthen the social integration of young people with intellectual disabilities through activities based on creativity and technology. We wanted to create a safe, international space where participants could develop their passions, build peer relationships, and experience genuine intercultural cooperation. The key objectives of the project included: developing participants’ communication and social skills, strengthening digital competences through the use of modern tools, including elements of artificial intelligence and augmented reality, stimulating creativity and innovation by combining art with technology, building attitudes of openness, cooperation, and mutual respect in an international environment, increasing self-confidence and the sense of agency among young people with fewer opportunities. The project also supported the objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme in the field of inclusion and diversity by providing tailored support for people with intellectual disabilities and enabling their full participation in non-formal education and international mobility. Through cooperation between three countries – Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia – we aimed to build sustainable partnerships and strengthen the European dimension of youth work. Our ambition was not only to develop participants’ competences during the exchange but also to create long-term impact in the form of strengthened international cooperation and increased awareness of the potential of young people with disabilities in the field of art and new technologies.
