The "Green me!" project is aimed at two groups of 11 participants from Poland and Armenia, with two chaperones assigned to each side, with a coordinator from Poland acting as the chaperone. This coordinator will oversee all project activities on both sides. The project is based on group interactions in contact with nature, using metaphors to define goals, identify resources and develop solutions. The project activities, based on 'adventure therapy' methods, will become a natural unifying space, eliminating boundaries. Young people, being in contact with nature, will perceive not only a form of spending time, but also a way of shaping, disseminating and promoting values such as tolerance, honesty, healthy competition, fair play, integration and empathy. The project also provides a pretext for getting to know each other and undertaking joint activities. The opportunity to function in accordance with nature will allow young people with fewer opportunities, socially and economically excluded, to gain new experiences and broaden their perspectives. The project focuses on building group and individual security in the first part and on achieving a common goal through teamwork in the second part. The added value of the project is for the OHP young people to step outside their comfort zone and break down their own barriers. The project will be carried out by young people grouped around the 3-18 Labour Hatch in Lublin. Planned project activities include wilderness areas, preserved in their natural state. The first mobility will take place in Orzysz, Poland (23.11.2024-02.12.2024) and the second in Gyumri, Armenia (03.05.2025-12.05.2025). They will focus on thematic workshops as part of non-formal education, often taking place outdoors, using wildlife as a tool. The second mobility will be complemented by the creation of an artistic work from the waste collected by the participants during the outdoor activities. The project also involves 'virtual mobility' between the mobilities to build bonds between the participants, develop common ideas and implement them, and foster a sense of community and agency. An additional element of the project is the development of professional skills in areas such as chef and photographer, which will allow the young people to develop their passions and learn non-formally. The project will be complemented by a preparatory visit to establish a dialogue with the partners, to have a preliminary understanding and to establish a detailed plan for the next activities and the feasibility of its implementation in local conditions. Doing these activities in person rather than via online messaging will minimise risks. At the same time, a direct 'face to face' relationship between leaders from all countries will have a significant impact on building relationships, trust, mutual affection in a human dimension that cannot be 100% replaced by online communication.
