Objectives

We were a group of young people from Poland and abroad who created a project within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. Our shared motivations and driving forces were deeply rooted in the belief that we had the power to make the world a better place. We wanted youth to be shaped by the values of sustainable development and a healthy lifestyle. We chose the topic of sustainable cooking because we were aware that nutrition forms the foundation of health and well-being. We wanted younger generations to understand what they eat and the consequences it has on their bodies and minds. We provided tools that helped young people make more informed dietary choices. We also cared for the planet. We recognized that dietary choices impacted climate change, natural resource consumption, and biodiversity conservation. We promoted sustainable dietary practices that reduced ecological footprints and contributed to environmental protection. We believed in the educational and social potential of Erasmus+ projects. We established international connections, exchanged experiences, and learned from other cultures. We built bridges between nations and developed our interpersonal skills. As young people, we aspired to be leaders of the change we wanted to see in the world. Our Erasmus+ project gave us the opportunity to acquire knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to achieve these goals. All these motivations contributed to our determination to create a sustainable cooking project that was both educational and inspiring, benefiting both youth and society as a whole. Project goals: We taught young people the basics of cooking and developed their culinary skills. We raised awareness of environmental issues and promoted sustainable eating. We promoted a healthy lifestyle and informed dietary choices. We provided young people with tools to make responsible dietary decisions. We inspired exploration of different cultures and culinary traditions. The project also supported the development of independence among young people: Independent decision-making in dietary choices: By learning to cook, participants gained the ability to plan and make conscious dietary decisions. Reduced dependence on ready-made products: Participants learned to prepare meals from scratch, contributing to a healthier lifestyle. Development of organizational skills: Cooking required planning, organization, and time management. Participants learned to create shopping lists, prepare ingredients, and manage their time effectively.
