The goal of the “Green Deal” project was to raise young people’s ecological awareness, promote pro-environmental attitudes, and demonstrate that actions for environmental protection can be attractive, engaging, and long-lasting. We wanted to respond to the need to involve youth in social initiatives in a way that fits their lifestyle and communication methods. It was crucial for us that participants felt part of a larger community and had a real impact on their surroundings. The project also had a strong educational dimension – young people developed their language, digital, social, and organizational competences, learned how to cooperate in international teams, resolve conflicts, and plan activities. Another important aim was the integration of youth from Poland, Lithuania, and Hungary, and fostering openness and tolerance towards diversity. The project contributed to the creation of local volunteer groups, strengthened initiative and self-governance, and showed that new technologies can support ecology. All the objectives declared in the application were achieved, participants gained valuable experience and knowledge, while local communities were involved in ecological activities, which ensures a lasting impact of the project
