In a rapidly changing world, where new labor markets were developing and new opportunities were emerging for young people, we saw a strong need to expand their knowledge of entrepreneurship. We believed that this knowledge was a key factor supporting economic development and innovation, which is why we considered it extremely important to support and encourage young people to develop personally and professionally. Thanks to the project, participants developed the skills necessary to start and run their own businesses, invest safely and find their place on the labor market. Each of the countries participating in the project had a different level of unemployment and various economic and business challenges. Thanks to the implementation of the project, we were able to better understand these difficulties and jointly develop tools and methods of action that made participants feel more confident and better prepared to enter the labor market. We used data from, among others, Trading Economics, which showed the unemployment rate in January 2024 - in Bulgaria 5.8%, in Macedonia 12.8%, in Italy 7.2%, in Lithuania 9.3%, and in Poland 5.1%. Despite the lack of sudden fluctuations, we observed uncertainty in the labor markets. Participants, through the experience they gained, increased their professional attractiveness and self-confidence. In the post-COVID reality, in which young people often felt uncertain and afraid of taking risks, the project was a real response to their needs. As the "Stocznia" Foundation has shown, the pandemic has significantly affected the approach of young Poles to starting a business - the number of companies established in 2020 fell by over 12%. Our initiative aimed to eliminate these fears and encourage economic activity. We were also aware that in some regions, unemployment among young people resulted from a lack of access to attractive employment opportunities and difficulties in finding their place on the labor market. By promoting entrepreneurship, we created new opportunities and alternative career paths for participants. They also developed soft skills, which are essential in the modern world of work and business. As part of the "Entrepreneurship: Create your future" project, we managed to implement all the assumptions, which translated into concrete results. Participants gained practical knowledge, experience and motivation to undertake their own initiatives. The project inspired many of them to think about creating their own business projects, both at the local and international level. Thanks to the previously conducted needs analysis, the project effectively responded to the most important problems of the participants. It was particularly important to include a group of 15 people with fewer opportunities – affected by the lack of access to entrepreneurship education. The project equalized their chances and enabled them to develop through participation in mobility. We were aware of how much support young people lack when starting their entrepreneurial path. The project became a place where they could gain experience, exchange knowledge, talk to experts and build a network of contacts – which will certainly bear fruit in the future. An additional effect was the promotion of entrepreneurship culture among young people – one of the main goals of the project. We inspired participants to act, develop their potential and discover different career paths. The development of entrepreneurial competences was visible in most participants to a much greater extent than we initially assumed. Support for international cooperation was also achieved. Thanks to cultural exchange, participants not only developed creativity and innovation, but also established new relationships that may transform into joint business initiatives in the future. Already during the project, we saw that lasting friendships and valuable contacts were created. The implementation of the project contributed to the real development of the entrepreneurial potential of young people, which provides a solid foundation and motivation for implementing further activities in the future.
