The goal of our “EmpowerUP!” project was primarily to raise awareness among young people about the impact of new technologies on their lives, with a particular focus on mental well-being and social relationships. This theme was inspired by the growing popularity in daily activities and a certain “routinization” of the use of artificial intelligence, as well as the epidemic of social media scrolling. The project was designed to strengthen participants' competencies in critical thinking, digital safety and informed use of technology, as well as develop their social, linguistic and intercultural skills. An important aspect was also to promote mental well-being and balance between the online and offline worlds, so the main mobility of the project was organized among nature, and we implemented some of the activities outdoors. The project in its entirety was implemented using as diverse non-formal education methods as possible, with a strong emphasis on the process of reflection, but also based on the values of the Erasmus+ program.
