Objectives

During the project, we realized how important the issue of doing online work has become in the post-coronavirus world. We realized that the 21st century and the development of the Internet give us a real alternative when it comes to choosing the nature of work and thus the ability to decide what our lives should look like. Unlimited working hours, performing professional obligations remotely from almost anywhere on earth, the possibility of holding virtual teleconferences, the ease of establishing contacts with almost every person on earth is something that our parents' and grandparents' generation could not even dream of. We know this perfectly well through participation in this project! We implemented the "Be Online Take Your Chance" project to acquire knowledge and experience at the start of our life, educational and professional choices about what online work is, what opportunities and threats are associated with it, how it can affect our entire lives. This is what happened, thanks to which we are much wiser in this area and we managed to find answers to key questions for our lives. During the project, we had the opportunity to compare online work and personal freedom to find out whether this correlation always occurs and whether it always has a positive connotation. By participating in an international project, we expanded our network of international contacts and experienced development at an international level. For most of us, it was a milestone in our development, for some of us it was continuing to travel a path designed to acquire competences through participation in international projects. During the youth exchange, we created a project space within which we had the opportunity to see for ourselves what online work is, what its specificity is, what competences or predispositions are required to move efficiently in this matter and achieve success. By participating in the project, we became aware of the opportunities that lie ahead of us if we direct our career path towards online work. Participation in the project allowed us to a) meet with young people from 3 EU countries, b) open up to international cooperation that so often accompanies online work, c) overcome our own limitations and get rid of stereotypical approaches to other nations/people. Opening up to online work, which we experienced through participation in this project, is at the same time opening up to the whole world, broadening the perspective through which we look at our lives and the world, realizing that we do not have any "ceiling above our heads" even if we live in such small towns as Drzewica, Drnava or Mickuna. Through participation in the project, we were able to verify the thesis that online work equalizes opportunities and opens up countless possibilities for people who undertake it. By participating in the project, we satisfied a number of our needs: a) we compared two approaches to performing work: traditional (stationary) and online (remote) and based on this comparison, we decided which path to take in life, b) we changed our way of thinking in relation to work-related issues to a modern approach to this topic, c) we became convinced that regardless of our place of residence, we are able to fulfill ourselves professionally and set ambitious business goals, d) we understood that thanks to modern technologies, the entire (virtual) world is open to us, e) we got used to an international environment and thus opened ourselves to a broader (international) perspective on perceiving issues such as life, work, interpersonal relations, f) we developed European awareness, including in the matter of the unlimited flow of people, goods and services within EU countries and the opportunities associated with it, g) we learned how to create business plans for business activities that we will be able to conduct in the virtual world in the future, h) we created a list of life priorities in close connection with a conscious choice of the type of work performed, i) we drew the attention of the residents of the towns we come from to the professional opportunities resulting from the switch from stationary work to online work.
