Objectives

By the project “Stay in touch - community building in the conflict time” we want to bring together youth workers interested in peacebuilding and conflict transformation and equip them with tools and knowledge to build sustainable communities on the local level. During a 6 day residential activity in Poland they will share experiences and problems that communities suffer especially due to conflicts and after the pandemic period. We aim to equip 41 youth workers with skills to build and sustain healthy communities and provide them with the knowledge and competences in areas such as non-violent communication, systeminc consensing, community and self care and providing them with new tools that can be used to achieve long-lasting and healthy local communities. Being a part of YPAN - a network of youth workers, trainers and peacebuilders we also want to work on innovative ways to strengthen the international community by using digital tools. We want to create a “Warble” platform that will support peacebuilders from all around the world to connect and cooperate. It will also be a space where various documents, guidelines, research or workshop scenarios in the topic of peace studies will be shared to promote peace. Those action will be conducted to achieve the following objectives: to bring together youth workers and young activists in order to analyze challenges affecting their local communities; To give participants tools for community building and sustaining them to increase the competencies of youth workers for improving communication and conflict transformation by using NVC model; To introduce participants to the concept of NVC mediation and restorative justice as tools for resolving internal and external conflicts to strengthen the YPA network so that it can serve as a space for engagement on the international and local level. To support youth workers with tools and methods to ensure their well-being during situation of crisis or burn-out To strengthen the international community of youth workers in the field of peacebuilding and conflict transformation by creating a feature on YPAN website allowing to connect youth workers and build cooperations on the local and international level To create at least 4 articles or other materials that will support youth workers in their community building activities, including a list of good practices for local communities and project ideas for community building events
