Objectives

At the outset, the most important task was to establish strong and effective cooperation among the partners, which served as the foundation for the project’s success. They sought to gain a mutual understanding of each other’s operations, training methods, and the organization of the educational process. ID has extensive experience in delivering VET training and vocational education courses, but lacks expertise in modern digital technologies in education. ZSE possesses subject-matter expertise regarding ventilation and heat recovery systems but lacks appropriate teaching materials. In contrast, 3DLearning (3DL) specializes in creating content using virtual and augmented reality (VR, XR) but has no experience in vocational education. Therefore, the exchange of experiences and knowledge transfer were crucial to achieving the project’s objectives. The common goal was to develop digital educational materials based on XR technology in the field of ventilation and heat recovery. It was essential to create detailed, reliable, and practical content that genuinely supports the teaching process. Another important element of the project was the analysis of the use of VR as a tool to enhance the effectiveness of VET.

Background

The project was launched in response to specific needs identified both within the educational community and in the labor market. The Institute of Consulting (ID) recognizes a growing gap between vocational training programs and the rapidly changing requirements of the renewable energy sector. Particularly evident was a shortage of modern teaching materials (reported, among others, by the Electic School ZSE) and practical tools for learning about ventilation and heat recovery systems (specifically, the difficulty in understanding the fundamentals of airflow). Additionally, it was noted that students and course participants need to develop competencies aligned with new technologies and the digitization of work processes. Equally important were the expectations of employers, who are increasingly seeking specialists with advanced technical skills and the ability to adapt quickly to change. The project therefore aimed to create modern, attractive training programs that would better prepare participants for the realities of the labor market. International cooperation facilitated the exchange of experiences and the implementation of innovative educational solutions.
